THE WOMAN BEHIND THE WORK

From looking like I had it all
to feeling alive in my life again.

By 30, I was a director of a PLC. I built a successful career in recruitment, had a family and a beautiful home. From the outside, I appeared to have it all.

What people couldn’t see was how much it took to keep that life running, or how far I had drifted from feeling happy within it.

Today, I bring together my background in recruitment and leadership with professional training in psychology, clinical hypnotherapy, NLP and coaching to support ambitious women who recognise something of themselves in that story.

Women who are capable, resourceful and used to finding a way through. Until the way they have always coped stops working.

WHERE MY STORY BEGAN

I learned to read people long before it became my profession.

By the age of 14, I had moved house 16 times and changed schools 12 times.

I loved learning. School gave me somewhere to escape, something to focus on and the chance to be good at something. But constantly arriving as the new girl, feeling different and doing well academically also made me a target for bullying.

School became an escape from home. Home became an escape from school. Each offered relief from the other, while bringing its own kind of hostility.

It was an exhausting loop. I learned to read moods, anticipate trouble, keep people happy and suppress what I felt. I took responsibility for things I was far too young to manage, absorbing what was never mine to carry just to get through the day.

THE PATTERNS I TOOK WITH ME

Success gave those patterns somewhere to hide.

Years later, many of those adaptations looked like professional strengths. I could read a room. Build trust quickly. Win people over. Push through discomfort. Take on the difficult challenge and keep going.

Those abilities helped me build a successful recruitment career. But underneath some of them was a familiar belief: being useful, achieving more and keeping everyone else happy was how I stayed safe.

There was always another target, another responsibility, another reason to push harder.

Alongside my career, I was raising children and living with stage four endometriosis, adenomyosis and scoliosis. I kept taking on more because that was what I knew how to do.

Inside, I was becoming exhausted.

WHEN COPING STOPPED WORKING

I understood more and more.
But I still needed something to change.

I wasn’t sleeping. I was constantly on edge, planning for everything that might go wrong and feeling responsible for holding everything together. Sometimes I felt strangely distant from my own life, as though I was there but not fully present.

I couldn’t explain exactly what was wrong. I just knew I wasn’t happy, I no longer felt much joy, and I couldn’t carry on feeling that way.

I spent years searching for answers while carrying on with work, motherhood and everything else life required. I read the books. Watched countless videos. Tried talking therapy. I became increasingly able to explain what had happened to me and why I might feel the way I did.

What I struggled to find was an answer to the question that mattered most:

“What do I do now to stop feeling like this?”

Understanding my past mattered. But I needed help changing what was happening in my life today. I needed to sleep. To stop feeling constantly on edge. To feel present in my own body. To make decisions without fear running through every possible outcome.

And, like so many busy women, I needed something practical that could begin helping me soon.

THE TURNING POINT

Another life became possible.
Then I began living it.

Discovering hypnosis and learning self-hypnosis became a turning point. It gave me an experience of change I had been searching for.

I began working with the beliefs, expectations and automatic responses that understanding alone hadn’t shifted. My self-image began to change. So did my confidence and my belief in a different future.

Gradually, I could see possibilities where I had previously seen limits.

That experience led me into years of study and professional training. I wanted to understand how to help other women move from recognising a pattern to responding differently when it mattered.

At 50, I have lost four stone. I am fitter and stronger. I have friendships, work that fulfils me and joy in my life again.

I feel here. Present. Alive.

My past hasn’t disappeared. But it no longer gets to make every decision about my future.

I have learned that something can have shaped you profoundly without having to keep directing your life.

LIFE BEYOND THE OLD LIMITS

Your mind needs room to believe
in the life you want to build.

The belief that once protected you may now hold you back. The habit that earned you approval may now leave you exhausted. The response that helped you survive may keep switching on long after the circumstances have changed.

When those patterns become automatic, they can quietly shape what you expect, what you tolerate and what you believe is possible.

They can also change.

It is difficult to move towards a future you cannot imagine being possible for you. That is why my work explores both what you consciously want and the beliefs, meanings and learned responses that may make moving towards it feel difficult or unsafe.

Together, we work towards making peace with your life so far, recognising the strengths you developed and loosening the patterns that no longer serve you.

Then we build towards what comes next: greater confidence, clearer choices and a stronger sense of purpose.

THAT IS BEYOND LIMITS.

There is room now to discover
what becomes possible next.

I know how different life can feel on the other side of patterns you once thought were simply who you were. My own experience brought me to this work. My professional training gives me the tools to support you in yours.

I cannot promise your journey will look like mine, or put a deadline on your healing. But I can offer a personalised approach focused on meaningful change, with care for your history and direction for your future.

You may have spent years carrying what happened.

I can’t wait to help you find
your life beyond limits.
