No - please don't worry. Clinical hypnosis isn't mind control and you can't be made to do anything against your values or wishes. Throughout the recording you'll remain aware, able to move, speak or open your eyes whenever you choose. Most people describe hypnosis as feeling deeply relaxed, focused and completely in control. A little like daydreaming or becoming so absorbed in a book or movie that you just become less aware of what's happening or your own thoughts.

Everyone can experience hypnosis when they choose to engage with it - in fact we all enter hypnotic states involuntarily each day (like when you're driving a car on auto pilot and forget exactly how you got to your destination, read a book you love and you forget where you are or that you are even reading or as you daydream). You don't need a special gift or a certain personality. Some people enter a deeply relaxed state very quickly, while others experience a lighter trance. Both can be highly effective because hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention that we all experience every day

Yes. Many people are surprised that they hear every word and remain aware throughout the session while some people vaguely remember some of what it said. Hypnosis isn't the same as sleep. Whether you feel deeply relaxed or simply calm and focused, your mind can still respond to helpful therapeutic suggestions. There is no "right" way to experience hypnosis. Just as some people fall asleep quickly and deeply and some take longer and sleep lightly, some people remember their dreams vividly, while others do not. We all experience hypnosis, meditation and sleep differently but they all work in the same way.
